Weight/exercise goal: So far, so good. I've exercised everyday (even Sunday) since January 3rd. And I've been eating way better, skipping bad snacks. But I allow myself the occasional treat like pizza on Fridays. The past three days, I've done 20 minutes on the elliptical. That may not sound like much, but it burns almost 200 calories and really kicks my butt. :) Funny thing is, I feel great AFTER doing it. I've lost a total of three pound so far. My hope is to lose at least one pound a week.
Spiritual goal: I've been reading a few chapters in my Bible each morning. I think I've done it every day, but I'm not positive. I've also been taking extra time out to pray with the kids at bedtime. A more deep prayer, not just surface things.
Most days, bed times are going much better. Tonight, I stopped to enjoy Jasmin making up songs. They were about serving Jesus. I almost told her to stop--she was kinda doing it in my ear while I was trying to dress her. But I caught myself and just listened. Such a sweet moment I almost missed.
God's been good. I'm trying to rely on Him and not myself, but I'm not really good at that.
