I've started the new year the way I'm sure thousands have...with a weight loss plan. I have at least 20 pounds to lose and my goal is the end of May. I'm eight days in and I'm rather proud of myself. I've exercised each day, granted two of those were only 10 minutes on the elliptical. But the other days were at least 20-50 minutes. I'll be honest, the elliptical kicks my butt. So, I have to mix some Just Dance in with that. Jasmin does it with me as well.

As for eating...doing pretty good. I've really only have one baddish (is that a word?) day. Friday I ate way to much pizza, but still not too many calories according to my handy dandy little app.

So far, I'm down two pounds, but I tend to lost a few really quickly. Praying God will give me the strength and the willpower.

As for other goals...I want bedtime to be more peaceful. I want to enjoy my kids being all weird at bedtime. Making jokes, being silly. I want to not be in such a hurry to get downstairs and relax (or workout!). I want to take time to enjoy those tiny moments in their lives.

Spiritually...I started maybe a month ago reading my Bible on my phone before I get out of the bed in the morning. My goal is do to that every day. Right now, it's probably five days a week. I want to teach my kids to pray.
